Even for those of us who aren’t typically fans of spring cleaning, this particular spring as been so far from typical, that we’ll take anything that makes us feel like we’re, slowly but surely, returning to some sense of normalcy. Besides, with the right combination of scent, and all natural ingredients, a household chore can quickly turn into a self care ritual.
When it comes to aroma, most conventional cleaners leaves something to be desired. And the ingredients list is definitely not something we want to fill our homes with. So today we're sharing an easy, all-natural DIY recipe to make your space smell and feel as clean as it looks.
Our Recharge Essential Oil Blend makes a beautiful addition to cleaning recipes thanks to rosemary's antifungal, antibacterial, and antiseptic properties, and peppermint's antibacterial action. This powerful duo is an energy boosting treat and has natural stress relieving properties!
What you'll need:
- One part white vinegar
- One part water
- Lemon rind
- Rosemary sprigs
- Woodlot Recharge Essential Oil Blend
Combine the above ingredients together, pour into a spray bottle, shake well, and then let infuse for about a week before using. When ready, you can use the solution to remove hard water stains, clean trash cans, wipe away wall smudges, and more. Plus, the fruit's acid adds extra cleaning properties — perfect for stubborn stains.
For a more simple all purpose spray, just mix a small amount of mild soap with water in a spray bottle and add a few drops of our Original Essential Oil Blend. Invigorating eucalyptus, refreshing pine, and uplifting sweet orange will make routine clean-ups a breath of fresh air.
And for floral bliss in the evening, add a few drops of Woodlot’s Flora Essential Oil Blend to the wash the next time you clean your sheets, and you’ll be falling into a deep sleep with aromas of calming lavender, exotic patchouli, and warming cedar. Ahhh.
Sending love + light,
